Races of Avalon

Humans are the oldest race as well as the only race capable of preforming magic naturally. Humans are also the only race that can be turned into a Werewolf or Vampire. This race does not start with any advantages, nor does it have any outlying disadvantages. Humans might be physically weaker than their supernatural foes, but they more than make up for this with the variety and versatility of their magic spells and items.

Vampires appear as normal humans, though they often have red eyes and/or white hair. They also possess elongated canines with which they can pierce the skin of their victims to drain blood. They also generally have pale skin, due to being undead.

Vampires are one of the most powerful races naturally. They have increased speed, strength and endurance, as well as a supplemental healing factor that grants them almost total immortality. They also have among the most weaknesses of all the races though. Weakness to fire, weakness to holy/blessed objects, weakness to silver weapons. They also have a natural need to feed on human blood, though this can be avoided to some degree, they must post at least once a month and mention feeding, lest they become blood-starved.

A blood-starved vampire loses its healing factor as well as its enhanced stats and becomes 'mortal' until it can feed again to replenish its strength.

To become a vampire, a human must die while they have vampire blood in their system, meaning they must ingest any amount of vampire blood before dying, to awaken the next post as a vampire, though they awaken as a 'blood-starved' vampire and must feed to get the other benefits.

PROS:

• +25% to Spd, Str, End stats
  
• Healing factor of 20% HP per post
  
• Do not need to transform to access their power
  

CONS:

• Weakness to Fire, Blessed Objects and Silver (2x damage)
  
• Must feed once every IRL Month to avoid becoming blood-starved and 'vulnerable'
  
• Can ONLY learn from the Illusion skill branch, and are only able to cast the unique, "Compulsion Spell"
  

Werewolves appear as normal humans when they aren't in their beast form. They are often observed to be slightly hairier than is considered normal and may have other animalistic traits such as elongated canines. When in their wolf form, they often grow to be around 3 feet taller and much more muscular looking than their human form, and are, of course, covered in hair. This hair is generally the same color as their natural 'human form' hair. Their eyes always turn yellow when in wolf form though.

Werewolves were created 2,000 years ago by a witch cursing a human to painful transformations each full moon. Though, around a thousand years ago, the Wolves managed to get a new control over their form by striking a deal with the witches. They offered them full access to the plants and herbs in their forest and the witches allowed them to control their form, though they still must be in their wolf form to gain access to their power, it is a small price to pay for freedom from a forced transformation.

While in their wolf forms, Werewolves are granted a large increase to their physical stats as well as access to a potent poison that can even wound vampires. Wolves only have a few weaknesses to speak of to go against their strengths, they are weak to blessed/holy objects as well as silver. Aside from these things, they are effected normally.

When a human is bitten by a wolf and injected with the 'wolf venom', they contract the Werewolf Curse. The curse doesn't activate until they kill their first person/the first person they kill after receiving the curse. This kill triggers their only forced transformation. Werewolf transformations are extremely painful and take a full post to complete, but once complete, it makes them among the most physically powerful creatures in the world.

Demons appear as normal humans when not in their 'Rage' form. When in their rage form, their skin burns away to reveal a body made of pure hellfire, the only bit of their original form left is their burned skull floating in a shroud of flames. These flames do not often burn away most of their clothing however, due to their natural control over them and how they effect things. When accessing their hellfire in human form, their irises glow a distinct orange color.

Demons are the youngest race and their appearance and lineage is still a bit of a mystery. They seem on par with vampires for the most part, though they do not have a requirement of feeding, they do often struggle to control themselves once angered. Demons possess enhanced physical capabilities, a powerful healing factor and access to hellfire magic. Though along with this comes many weaknesses, Weakness to water, holy/blessed objects, Silver and a chance to go berserk when in their 'Rage Form'.

In order to gain access and therefore realization of their demon condition, a Human(demon) must experience a pure, burning, passionate hatred of something. They must feel the personification of wrath. This anger boils their insides and eventually ignites their body with hellfire, thus revealing them to be a demon.

a demon's true form is known as their 'Rage Form', where their flesh is melted away to reveal the fire inside them. This form grants them an additional boost to their physical capabilities, but also brings with it the chance that they will go berserk the longer it is active. Every 5 posts its active, they must roll a 2 sided die. If it hits a 1, they go berserk for 5 posts, if 2, they may continue for another 5 posts. When they exit Rage mode, they must wait up to three posts to be able to enter it again as their muscles and flesh reform onto their charred bones. They are able to move around during this process, but unable to access their hellfire.

• 50% chance to go berserk after 5 posts of using Rage Form
